Go Global! Domestic Mission Experience

A realistic Third World mission experience–less than three hours from Atlanta!

Sept. 20-25, 2009

During the Cherokee County School’s Fall Break, we will be taking a 6-day trip to SIFAT (Servants in Faith and Technology) which has a wonderful campus with a model global village, an urban slum and workshops with experiments in many different techniques and technologies for alleviating poverty. We'll also enjoy many excellent domestic and international speakers that have come to the campus for training in these activities. This wonderful opportunity for youth and students is not to be missed!

Take a break from school, have fun, and experience the adventure and joy of international missions! This program provides opportunities to combine with youth from other groups to participate in unique discipleship opportunities, and includes the cost of all food, lodging, several extra activities per day, and 24 hour staff counselors/worship team.

MonDay 1BLDToday we'll play some fun "get to know you" games with our new small group members, and learn some important techniques for surviving and staying healthy in the Global Village.
TuesDay 2BLDLet's hike up to our new home- the Global Village!
WedDay 3BLD Practice some appropriate technogy skills in the Global Village and drop by the urban slum.
ThursDay 4BLD Meet with the international speakers, play some Cross Cultural soccer, and interact with some non-English speakers.
FriDay 5BLPack up, visit Flat Rock, take some time out at the Village Store, kiss Dimple Calf goodbye, and eat some lunch before returning home in time for dinner!
