Day 1DMeet at Hartsfield Jackson Intl airport for Transatlantic flight to London
Day 2BLDArrive London Gatwick where we will meet and take the group to Salisbury for a leg stretch at the Cathedral, the Salisbury Methodist Church and again at Stonehenge before reaching Swindon, your base for the first two nights. Dinner will be in your hotel this evening. Accommodations in Bristol/Bath area
Day 3BLDThis morning you will visit the New Room and Charles Wesley House in Bristol. This afternoon, a walking tour of Bath including a visit to the Roman Baths. Return to your hotel for dinner this evening.
Day 4BLDAfter checking out of your hotel, head to Oxford, home of Bible translators Wycliff, Tyndale and Coverdale, as well as John Wesley and CS Lewis. We'll spend the day exploring this University city and seeing various Methodist sites. Dinner will be in your hotel this evening. Perhaps we'll eat lunch at Eagle and Child Pub, where The Inklings met (including CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien and others)
Day 5BLDAfter checking out of your hotel, to Warwick Castle for a 10.00am visit. In the early afternoon depart for Doncaster where you will be based tonight. Dinner will be in the hotel this evening.
Day 6BLDMorning worship in Epworth and a visit to the Old Rectory, the former home of the Wesley family. After lunch independently, head south for London for the next 4 nights. Dinner will be in your hotel this evening.
Day 7BLDFull day sight-seeing tour of London including a tour of the Methodist Central Hall while in the area touring Westminster Abbey. Dinner will be in your hotel this evening. That night we'll tour Shakespeare's Globe Theater and see a play.
Day 8BLDThis morning, a walking tour taking in the major Methodist sites in London. Revisit London's denominational history including the Wesley Chapel and Museum of Methodism, John Wesley's house and Bunhill Fields Cemetary, and the Aldersgate Memorial. Finish with a tour of St Pauls Cathedral and a visit to the nearby Tower of London to see the tower and the crown jewels. Dinner will be in your hotel this evening.
Day 9BLOur adventure is coming to an end! We'll breakfast at our hotel then travel to the airport and fly home!
